ADVANCING THE VITALITY OF INDIANAPOLIS AND THE WELL-BEING OF ITS PEOPLE

Indianapolis is a great city with even greater potential. Working with our grantees and other key partners, we focus on addressing some of the city’s biggest challenges, with an aim toward fostering system-wide changes that positively impact the people of Indianapolis.

Through grantmaking, research, communications and collaboration focused on three core areas, we aim to maximize our impact on Indianapolis.

We’ve committed $4.3 million to increase college enrollment rates among Marion County high school seniors. Our College Matters initiative is connecting students to the financial aid they need to make college more affordable and accessible.

Updated Community Data Snapshot Provides Comprehensive Education Information on Marion County Schools

New updates to the Education section of the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation’s free data dashboard – which we call the Community Data Snapshot – allow users to view and compare data for individual schools and school corporations in Marion County, Indiana, and to view student outcomes by school type.

To guide our work, the Foundation commissions research projects focused on issues affecting education, health and the vitality of Indianapolis.
