Paul Halverson, who holds a doctorate in public health and is the founding dean of the Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health, will begin a new position in Oregon on Feb. 1, 2024.

Reducing the amount of nicotine in cigarettes may lead some current smokers to smoke more – at least in the short term. But there’s also evidence that reducing nicotine in cigarettes can help reduce smoking.

In 2018, @RMFFIndy launched Prevention Matters, a multi-year grant initiative that aims to help Marion County schools identify, implement and sustain evidence-based substance use prevention programs. Learn more about lessons learned from the initiative:
