Grantmaking at the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation

By focusing our attention on a few key areas, the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation is able to maximize its impact in Indianapolis. But this also means that some causes, while very worthwhile, don’t fit within the scope of our focus areas.

We work with prospective grantees to determine how an organization or initiative aligns with our funding priorities. Because these priorities evolve over time, our process is flexible and dynamic, and we welcome new inquiries throughout the year. However, the Foundation recognizes the considerable time and effort required to write a proposal, so we do not accept unsolicited proposals. Please do not submit a proposal unless a member of the Foundation’s staff invites you to do so.
