玛丽安大学的 Klipsch 教育者学院为未来教师的成功做好准备

教师素质是学生成功的重要推动力，但许多新兴教育工作者缺乏在 K-12 课堂环境中教学的经验。黑人和西班牙裔/拉丁裔在教育工作者和学校领导中的代表性也不足，而学生成绩结果的种族差异仍然存在。 

认识到需要改善学生成绩并增加印第安纳波利斯教育工作者队伍的多样性， 玛丽安大学 重新设计并将其教育学院改造成 Fred S. Klipsch 教育学院 2016 年。该学院采用国际最佳实践，更有效地培养高素质教师，同时增加印第安纳波利斯的黑人和西班牙裔/拉丁裔教育工作者的数量。 

学院致力于通过让学生沉浸在实践中来有效地为学生做好准备。学生在课程的第一年开始通过学院的模拟实验室获得教学经验。该课程还要求学生完成为期一年的带薪实习，并获得教学专业知识和学科内容知识。学生在学院期间获得大约 250-300 小时的临床经验。 

理查德·M·费尔班克斯基金会自 2016 年以来已拨款 $2,650,000 英镑，用于支持弗雷德·S·克利普什教育者学院的发展、启动实施工作和建立。
