In 2023, جامعة ماريان cut the ribbon on a new $45 million, 70,000-square-foot engineering building, which now plays host to students enrolled in the E. S. Witchger School of Engineering. With the goal of creating more opportunities for Hoosier students to access high-quality STEM education that leads to high-demand careers, the Witchger School of Engineering offers degrees in biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, and mechanical engineering, as well as engineering physics.

In 2022, the Fairbanks Foundation awarded a $5 million grant to Marian University to support the Witchger School of Engineering. The grant from the Fairbanks Foundation helped enable Marian to hire faculty and staff, complete construction, and obtain critical equipment – ensuring students receive hands-on training and curriculum. With its first students now graduated, the Witchger School of Engineering is playing a pivotal role in preparing Hoosier students for success in high-demand STEM careers while strengthening Indiana’s talent pipeline.
