Through audience engagement and high-quality reporting, WFYI raises community awareness and improves understanding of key public health and education issues and solutions in Central Indiana.

The Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at IUPUI was established in 2012 to grow the supply of trained public health professionals in Indiana, who can contribute to improving the health of Hoosiers.

In its work to address substance use disorder in Central Indiana, Community Health Network identified a critical need to grow the supply of health professionals trained to treat addiction as well as behavioral health conditions. This led to the development of the Behavioral Health Academy™.

Haley Bohannon overcame substance-use disorder more than four years ago. Now she’s supporting others on the road to recovery.
